A weekend all dedicated to one of the corner stones of Italian cooking – the tomato – are you just as crazy about this versatile little friend – well then you should join us for this summer course.
we will cook a number of dishes with all the glorious tomatoes from our own garden as well as from the market – pair them in delicious and simple antipasti, with fresh homemade pasta, in breads and maybe even in desserts.
but we are also going to do a lot of preserving – tomatoes are a great condiment in the winter cooking, bringing a bit of sunshine onto the plate – so we will also be making jars of peeled tomatoes, passata, jams, soups and sauces – all to be enjoyed later in the year. If the weather is with us, we will also dry to do the traditional Sicilian paste – called strattu.
The course include; welcome dinner, 4 night stay in double room with breakfast, visit to a local vinery and 3 cooking lessons.
